“হে মানুষ! আমি তোমাদের একজন পুরুষ ও একজন নারী থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, এবং তোমাদেরকে জাতি ও গোত্রে বিভক্ত করেছি, যাতে তোমরা একে অপরকে চিনতে পারো।” [আল-হুজুরাত: ১৩] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) বলেন:

“Oh mankind! We have created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may know each other.” [Al- Hujurat: 13] He (swt) says:

“হে মানুষ! কোন্ জিনিস তোমাকে তোমার মহান দাতা প্রতিপালকের ব্যাপারে ধোঁকায় ফেলেছে?” [সূরা আল-ইনফিতার: ৬] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) বলেন:

“Oh mankind! What has misled you from your Lord, most Generous?”. [Al- Infitar: 6] He (swt) says:

“ধ্বংস মানুষের জন্য! সে কীসে তাকে আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করতে উদ্বুদ্ধ করল? কোন বস্তু থেকে তিনি তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন? শুক্রবিন্দু থেকে তিনি তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন...” [আবাসা: ১৭ - ১৯] এভাবে, আল্লাহ (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) মানুষকে সম্বোধন করেছেন দায়িত্ব-কর্তব্য দিয়ে, এবং তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) মানুষকেই সেই বাণী ও সেই দায়িত্ব-কর্তব্যের বিষয় বানিয়েছেন। তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) মানুষের জন্য বিধান (শরিয়াহ) অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) মানুষকে পুনরুত্থিত করবেন, তার হিসাব নেবেন এবং তাকে জান্নাত বা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করাবেন। অতএব, তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) মানুষকে—পুরুষ বা নারীকে নয়—দায়িত্ব-কর্তব্যের বিষয় বানিয়েছেন।

“Woe to mankind! What has made Him reject God? From what thing did He create Him? From a clot He Created Him...” [Abasa: 17 - 19] Thus, Allah (swt) has addressed mankind with obligations and He (swt) has made Mankind the subject of that speech and those obligations. He (swt) has revealed the laws (Shar’a) to mankind and He (swt) will resurrect mankind, account him/her and admit Him/her to Paradise or Hell. Therefore, He (swt) has made mankind - not men or women - the subject of the obligations.

আল্লাহ (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) মানবজাতিকে, পুরুষ হোক বা নারী, এমন এক নির্দিষ্ট প্রকৃতি দিয়ে সৃষ্টি করেছেন যা পশুদের প্রকৃতি থেকে স্বতন্ত্র। নারী একজন মানুষ, পুরুষও তাই, এবং মানবতার দিক থেকে তারা একে অপরের থেকে ভিন্ন নয়। সেই মানবতার কোনো দিক দিয়েই একজনকে অন্যজন থেকে আলাদা করা হয়নি। আল্লাহ (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) উভয়কে মানুষ হিসেবে জীবনের পথে পা রাখার জন্য প্রস্তুত করেছেন এবং অনিবার্যভাবে তাদের একই সমাজে বসবাস করতে বাধ্য করেছেন। মানবজাতির টিকে থাকাকেও তিনি তাদের একত্র হওয়া এবং প্রত্যেক সমাজে তাদের পারস্পরিক উপস্থিতির উপর নির্ভরশীল করেছেন। মানুষ হিসেবে তাদের সকল মানবীয় বৈশিষ্ট্য ও জীবনের মৌলিক প্রয়োজন থাকায়, একজনকে অন্যজনের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি ছাড়া অন্য কোনোভাবে দেখা বৈধ নয়। আল্লাহ (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) তাদের প্রত্যেকের মধ্যে একটি জীবনীশক্তি (Taqa Hayawiya) সৃষ্টি করেছেন, এবং অন্যজনের জন্যও তিনি ঠিক সেই একই জীবনীশক্তি সৃষ্টি করেছেন। তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) প্রত্যেকের মধ্যে ক্ষুধা, তৃষ্ণা ও প্রাকৃতিক প্রয়োজন সারার চাহিদার মতো জৈবিক প্রয়োজন দিয়েছেন, এবং প্রত্যেকের মধ্যে একটি টিকে থাকার প্রবৃত্তি (Gharizat al-Baq'a), একটি বংশবিস্তারের প্রবৃত্তি (Gharizat al-Nau') এবং একটি ধর্মীয়তার প্রবৃত্তি (Gharizat al-Tadayyun) দিয়েছেন। অন্যের মধ্যেও একই জৈবিক প্রয়োজন ও প্রবৃত্তি রয়েছে। তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) উভয়কে চিন্তাশক্তি দান করেছেন, এবং অন্যের মধ্যেও একই চিন্তাশক্তি রয়েছে। সুতরাং পুরুষের মধ্যে যে বুদ্ধিমত্তা আছে, নারীর মধ্যেও সেই একই বুদ্ধিমত্তা আছে, কারণ আল্লাহ মানবজাতির জন্য একটি বিবেক সৃষ্টি করেছেন, শুধুমাত্র পুরুষ বা নারীর জন্য আলাদাভাবে নয়।

Allah (swt) has created mankind, whether male or female, with a specific nature which is distinct from that of animals. The woman is a human, as is the man, and they do not differ from each other in terms of their humanity. Nor is one distinguished from the other in any aspect of that humanity. Allah (swt) has prepared both of them, in their capacity as humans, to enter the walks of life and inevitably made them live in the same society. He also made the survival of the human race dependent on their meeting together and their mutual presence in every society. It is not permitted to view one of them except as the other is viewed because, as humans, they possess all human characteristics and the essential requirements of life. Allah (swt) has created within each of them a vital energy (Taqa Hayawiya), and it is the same vital energy which He (swt) has created for the other. So He (swt) made in each of them organic needs such as hunger, thirst and the need to relieve nature and He (swt) made in each of them a survival instinct (Gharizat al-Baq'a) and a procreation instinct (Gharizat al-Nau') and a sanctification (Gharizat al- Tadayyun) instinct. They are the same organic needs and instincts that are present in each other. He (swt) has granted both of them the faculty of thought, and it is the same faculty of thought that is present in the other. Thus, intelligence is present in a man and it is the same intelligence that is present in a woman, since Allah created an intellect for mankind and not exclusively for a man or a woman.

“হে মানুষ! তোমরা তোমাদের প্রতিপালককে ভয় করো, যিনি তোমাদের এক ব্যক্তি থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, এবং তা থেকে তার স্ত্রীকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর তাদের দুজন থেকে বহু পুরুষ ও নারী ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন।” [আন-নিসা: ১] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) বলেন:

“Oh mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person, and from Him created his wife, and from them both He created many men and women”. [An- Nisa: 1] He (swt) says:

“তিনিই তোমাদেরকে এক ব্যক্তি থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, এবং তা থেকেই তার স্ত্রীকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, যাতে সে তার কাছে প্রশান্তি লাভ করতে পারে। যখন সে তার সাথে মিলিত হলো, সে হালকা গর্ভ বহন করল এবং তা নিয়ে চলাফেরা করল। অতঃপর যখন তা ভারী হলো, তারা উভয়ে আল্লাহ্‌কে, তাদের রবকে ডাকল: যদি আপনি আমাদেরকে একটি সুস্থ সন্তান দান করেন, তবে অবশ্যই আমরা কৃতজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হব।” [সূরা আল-আ‘রাফ: ১৮৯] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা‘আলা) বলেন:

“It is He Who has created you from a single person, and He has created from Him his wife, in order that He might enjoy the pleasure of living with her. When He had sexual relations with her, she became pregnant and she carried it about lightly. Then when it became heavy, they both invoked Allah, their Lord: If You give us a good child, indeed we shall be amongst the grateful”. [Al- Araf: 189] He (swt) says:

"আর নিশ্চয়ই আমি তোমার পূর্বে বহু রাসূল প্রেরণ করেছি এবং তাদের জন্য স্ত্রী ও সন্তান-সন্ততি দিয়েছি।" [আর-রা'দ: ৩৮] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা'আলা) বলেন:

“And indeed We sent Messengers before you and made for them wives and offspring”. [Ar- Rad: 38] He (swt) says:

"আর আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের নিজেদের মধ্য থেকে স্ত্রী সৃষ্টি করেছেন, এবং তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের থেকে তোমাদের জন্য পুত্র ও পৌত্র সৃষ্টি করেছেন।" [আন-নাহল: ৭২] তিনি (SWT) বলেন:

“And Allah has made for you wives of your own kind, and has made for you, from your wives, sons and grandsons”. [An- Nahl: 72] He (swt) says:

“আর তাঁর নিদর্শনাবলির মধ্যে এও একটি যে, তিনি তোমাদের নিজেদের মধ্য থেকেই তোমাদের জন্য স্ত্রী সৃষ্টি করেছেন, যাতে তোমরা তাদের কাছে প্রশান্তি পাও, আর তিনি তোমাদের মধ্যে ভালোবাসা ও দয়া সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছেন।” [সূরা আর-রূম: ২১] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা'আলা) বলেন:

“And among his Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy.” [Ar- Rum: 21] He (swt) says:

“আসমান ও যমীনের স্রষ্টা। তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের নিজেদের মধ্য থেকেই জোড়া সৃষ্টি করেছেন।” [আশ-শূরা: ১১] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) বলেন:

“The Creator of the heavens and earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves”. [Ash- Shura: 11] He (swt) says:

“এবং তিনিই (আল্লাহ) জোড়া সৃষ্টি করেন — পুরুষ ও নারী, নুতফা (শুক্রবিন্দু) থেকে, যখন তা নিক্ষেপ করা হয়।” [আন-নাজম: ৪৫-৪৬] তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) বলেন:

“And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, - male and female, from nutfah (drops of semen) when it is emitted”. [An- Najm: 45-46] He (swt) says:

“এবং আমি তোমাদের জোড়ায় জোড়ায় সৃষ্টি করেছি।” [আন-নাবা: ৮] এভাবে আল্লাহ (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) নর ও নারীর সৃষ্টিকে বিবাহের পরিধিতে সীমাবদ্ধ করেছেন। তিনি (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তাআলা) এটি পুনরাবৃত্তি করেছেন, যাতে নর ও নারীর প্রতি দৃষ্টি বিবাহের দিকে নিবদ্ধ থাকে, অর্থাৎ মানবজাতির টিকে থাকার জন্য সন্তান উৎপাদনের দিকে।

“And We created you in pairs”. [An- Naba: 8] Thus, Allah (swt) restricted the creation of the male and female to the marital aspect. He (swt) repeated this, so that the view towards the male and female be focused on marriage i.e. towards producing offspring for the survival of the human race.
